About the Employer
Covenant Presbyterian Church is a large, vibrant congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA) with energetic lay leadership, a commitment to Christian education and mission, excellent staff and facilities, and a strong base of financial support for the church?s $3+ million annual budget. We are located on a 5-acre campus in Austin, the capital and crown jewel of Texas, which is recognized for its natural beauty, great quality of life, economic opportunity, and diverse population. Our prime location at the corner of MoPac Expressway and RR 2222/Northland Drive in the northwest part of town, in addition to being easily accessible and highly visible, places us in the middle of one of nation?s largest concentrations of unchurched young adults and families who sorely need to know and experience the love of Christ. Reaching out to these neighbors is a high priority of our church.
Covenant?s congregation is not easily defined. Our members represent a variety of faith traditions and don?t fall neatly into conventional categories like conservative or progressive. True to our roots as a neighborhood church, we are bound by our desire to know, worship, and serve Christ together. We have long been a congregation of unity during times of strife, and we have continued that tradition in the face of current denominational disputes.
