PUEBLO ? As part of the 11-day Colorado State Fair, Aug. 24- Sept. 3, Colorado State University-Pueblo will sponsor a CSU-Pueblo Pack the Fair Day on Monday, August 27.
The CSU-Pueblo Alumni Association will host a reception prior to ThunderWolves Pack the Rodeo Night. Tickets at $5 per person include gate admission to the Fair, admission to the rodeo, pre-rodeo reception on the stage of the Grandstand Arena, and premium seating during the PRCA RAM rodeo performance that evening. The event will feature the ThunderWolves marching band, more than 400 student-athletes, in addition to cheer and dance squads. Alumni and student representatives will face off in a tug of war competition that evening as well.
The pre-rodeo reception begins at 6 p.m. and includes food and beverages followed by the rodeo performance at 7 p.m. Because of high demand, a limit of 8 tickets sold per person has been established.
The University will provide free rodeo/fair admission tickets for that day to the first 1200 students (one per student ID until quantities last). Students can pick up free tickets on Wednesday, Aug. 22 from 10 a.m. ? 2 p.m. at the Student Involvement Fair or afterwards in the Office of Student Services and Enrollment Management, Occhiato University Center (OUC) 003. Tickets for other fair dates will be available to students starting Aug. 28.
Gate admission on Monday, August 27 is $7 with carnival passes available for $30.? Loaf ?n Jug is distributing Buy One Get One carnival ride band and gate admission coupons for that day as well as at participating Loaf N Jog stores. .
The Colorado State University building that had featured the three-campus CSU System for the past two years has been renamed the Colorado Building where you can learn about a variety of Colorado products and services through interactive displays.
The new REDLINE shuttle will be available to transport CSU-Pueblo students from campus to the State? Fairgrounds throughout the day.?
Earlier in the day, the CSU-Pueblo Athletics Department will host its ThunderWolf Classic Golf Tournament with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the Pueblo Country Club followed by a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The event raises money for student athletic scholarships and programs.
